'I was a nervous wreck. I'd boarded the plane a few hours earlier en route to Nigeria and now the captain was announcing the immenent arrival of our flight into Lagos. I had no idea what to expect. In trying to keep a low profile, as much as a white man can, I felt all eyes were on my possessions and wallet. Eventually I filtered out the ordeal only to be greeted by the most amazing sight on the other side of the EXIT signed door which put a smile on face so wide I think some locals thought I was a Aquafresh rep. The taxi rank and car park was literally one huge museum of the complete history of Peugeot in Africa! I stood there in amazement at each type of Peugeot I remembered as a kid. I had completely forgotten how unique they were - the 204's the 404's and especially the 304's. I do not know till now why as a kid the memory of that 304 had stuck with me for all this time, but for that small moment in Lagos, Nigeria it was one amazing sight I will never forget.

'Well we have just returned from a holiday in Namibia a country where this car is seldomly seen; and on one of the gravel roads while consulting a map a farmer stopped and asked,"wat maak jy met daai franse ding hier".

Op pad na Sesriem I promptly replied.

Is hy blitsig he asked nie hier nie maar op die hoof pad ja I replied. This prompted a reply as julle sukkel bel maar die pad is reguit vorentoe and I replied dit sal nie nodig wees nie. It never was necessary but I am not sure where I would have phoned to as he never left a number but 6000 km later we were back home and still I wonder if the farmer stopped to help or just to admire this car in the middle of the wilderness. I love driving it no matter where

'I have been in love with French cars ever since I can remember, the first car I can remember was a Peugeot 104, my Mother still learner how to drive with it, it was called Hessie, well she drove Hessie into a ditch and her eyes rolled over and she died, after that we had numerous other Peugeot's and i loved them all, nothing beats a French car.

'my wife and i were going on honeymoon to the berg . we had not been to this particular part of the berg so we really did not know what to expect . when i had a chat with the guy at the lodge we were going to stay at he told me its fine to come with my car . when i get to the turn off to the lodge we had to travel 16km on a dirt road . when we get to the entrance of the lodge its another 5km down the mountains to get to reception . by this time i was really irritated because the road down was only for 4x4 . because my 407 sits low i could not imagine taking this car down there . after giving it some thought i said lets see what this this baby can do offroad and believe you me my peugeot 407 went down and came up as if it was on tarred road . i love my peugeot 407 . it will be a honeymoon and a driving experience that will never be forgotten.

'I started working in the SA Army, Dec 1996. Not long after I found an ad for a Peugeot 206 cc, 2litre in a magazine. I cut it out, laminated it, and put it against my office wall. I kept telling myself that "one day I will be driving my dream car".

In 2007 I bought a Peugeot 206 cc, 2 litre in Diablo Red. I had it for about a year, when I sold it because I listened to an ex-boyfriend...I should have listened to my heart.

About two months ago, I saw an ad for a Peugeot 206 cc, 1.6 litre, in Silwer at Inspecta Car Menlyn. My dream car went from "spark" to "flame" in my head. It took about a month before I finally decided, and after all the paperwork was done I was driving my dream car again.

Many of my colleagues, especially the men, can't understand that I am "Peugeot Passionate" and that you can give me all the money in the world to buy a car with, I will still buy myself the Peugeot 206 cc 1.6...my dream car!

'My car broke down(mechanical) on 21/08/10 as i was on my way to a wedding at Sibaya Casino, and i contacted SOS on 0860772424 and they asked me what is the problem with the car and i told them what happened and they connected me to a technician in uMhlanga and the technician told me that it can be the clutch or gearbox that is causing the problem, on monday i called the AA and the car was taken to Peugeot Durban Centre where they confirmed that it was the clutch indeed that was finished and they checked the gearbox as well and it was faulty too, lucky my car is still under warranty and the service advisor by the name of Clint was very professional & helpful in getting my car gearbox fixed since the vehicle is still under warranty & i thank him very much, on friday 10/09/10 he Clint called me to come and fetch my car and i paid for the cluch and i was on my way and that was AYOBA!
