The Impact of Neolocalism on the Microbrewery Business in Western Washington
Hi! My name is Molly Thompson and I am an undergraduate student at the University of Hawaii at Manoa in the school of Travel Industry Management. I am currently conducting research for my Honors project on the effects of neolocalism on the microbrewery industry in Western Washington. I am asking you to participate in my research because you may have a unique viewpoint on this topic as a microbrewery patron and you are at this establishment.
Activities and Time Commitment: If you decide to participate in this project, you will be asked to fill out a survey. The survey questions are mostly multiple choice and ranking questions along with one fill in the blank. You may also add open-ended responses. The survey is accessed on a website which will be provided after pressing the ‘continue’ button. This survey is not timed, but it may take between 10 and 15 minutes to complete.
Benefits and Risks: There is no direct benefit and little risk to you in participating in this project. The findings from this project may help create a better understanding of the impact neolocalism has on the microbrewery industry in Western Washington.
Privacy and Confidentiality: I will keep all information confidential, where only my advisor and I will see it. The survey results from customers will be anonymous and no personal information will be obtained such as your name or address.
Voluntary Participation: Your participation in this project is voluntary. You may stop participating at any time. There will be no penalty to you should you choose to opt out or discontinue.
