1. Hello:
I am a graduate student at Arkansas Tech University in the School of Nursing. I am conducting research focused on Peer Instruction in Associate Degree Nursing Programs in the state of Arkansas.

Peer Instruction is defined, for this purpose, as a teaching strategy where upperclassman nursing students work with beginning nursing students in the skills laboratory, simulation laboratory, or clinical laboratory. Under the direction of nursing faculty, the role of the upperclassman includes reinforcement of teaching and demonstration of nursing skills, meeting individual student learning needs by supervising student practice of psychomotor skills, providing feedback to the learner, sharing personal learning experiences, and role modeling the developing role and responsibilities of the professional nurse. Also referred to as peer mentoring, peer teaching, and peer leadership.

Your participation in this study is completely voluntary. There are no foreseeable risks associated with this project. However, if you feel uncomfortable answering any questions, you can withdraw from the survey at any point.

Your survey responses will be strictly confidential and data from this research will be reported only in the aggregate. Your information will be coded and will remain confidential. If you have questions at any time about the survey or the procedures, you may contact [Linda Hendricks] at [501-317-9172] or by email at the email address specified below.
