You are invited to participate in our survey on the introduction of a Pollutant Release and Transfer Register (PRTR) in Singapore. The purpose of this survey is to find out how great the demand for PRTR is in Singapore, and how it should be presented. This questionnaire has two parts (part 2 can be found here: http://questionpro.com/t/AIBlqZMlMk) and will take you approximately 10 minutes to complete.

[What it is]
A database of potentially hazardous substances and/or pollutants released and transferred off-site for treatment or disposal.

[How it works]
Industrial and business facilities quantify and report the amount of substances and pollutants released and transferred off-site. Following this, the data is checked and compiled by environmental authorities. It is then made accessible to the public online, in hardcopy, or in CD-rom form.

[Benefits]
PRTRs allow everyone to find out the sources and quantities of substances emitted in their vicinity, which allows them to put pressure on firms to reduce pollution.
