Public Survey for the East Gippsland Fishery Management Plan

The East Gippsland Fishery Management Plan is an important step towards the management of recreational fisheries in the region. This is your opportunity to contribute to its development.

The information collected in this survey will help Fisheries Victoria develop a fishery management plan that has a strong focus on addressing fishing-related issues of interest to recreational fishers and the local community.

The plan will cover all inland and estuarine fisheries located within the boundaries of the East Gippsland Catchment Management Authority (see attached map) except Lake Tyres and Mallacoota Inlet which are covered by other plans and the Gippsland Lakes which will be covered by a future fishery management plan.

Before continuing please view the map of the East Gippsland Fishery area showing the area covered by the management plan.

Your input is appreciated and vital.

Surveys should be completed by 6 November 2009

If you have any further questions, please contact the Fisheries Victoria Fisheries Resource Planning Unit [email protected].

Please note that as part of our commitment to provide an open consultation process, all written comments, our subsequent decisions and the reasons for reaching these decisions will be published on the DPI website.
