SURVEY ON CLOUD COMPUTING SERVICES AND APPLICATIONS
I am a PhD student at the Information Science Department, Faculty of Information Science and Technology, University Kebangsaan Malaysia. My research concerns the above topic. I am very grateful if you kindly take the time to answer these research questionnaires which aim to identify effectiveness of Cloud Computing (Online Applications and services) to Improve University Researcher’s Productivity in their research performance and outcomes.

Introduction
Cloud computing is a model of enabling ubiquitous, convenient, on-demand network access to share pool of configurable computing resources (e.g., networks, servers, storage, applications, and services) that can be rapidly provisioned and released with minimal management effort or service provider interaction. With cloud computing, researchers will not be constrained and confused by physical resources anymore on the contrary, they can accessed their work from anywhere at any time that has an active Internet connection and get many kinds of applications as services.

Examples of Cloud Computing Services & Applications

i. Office Services & Applications: as (Google Docs/ MS Office Online/ ZohoOffice / Adobe Reader/ Office 365/ ThinkFree Office) users have the ability to create new documents, and uploaded. ii. Storage Services and Applications: (Google Drive, DropBox, OneDrive, Box Amazon Cloud Drive, and SkyDrive), users can store their data securely online that does not need to be installed on a physical device. This makes it possible to share files around the globe and can modify documents in real time which makes these services highly desirable when uses occurs on the Internet. iii. Social communication Services & Applications: such as, (FaceBook, WhatsApp, Telegram, Skype, and Google+) those make this a powerful online collaboration tool to contact with others and share information and files in addition discusses with them. In addition, there are several of applications which support research activities and tasks such as (Scribd, search engine, references manager, proofreading, and so on)
