Victoria is faced with different types of emergencies every year. These can range from adverse seasonal conditions causing drought or flood, to natural disasters such as fire or threats from a locust plague.

Major bushfires affected Victoria during the last fire season, burning more than one million hectares. Many of our staff worked in fire-affected areas in an effort to contribute to DPI's core role of emergency response and recovery. About 770 staff were deployed, visiting more than 600 properties.

DPI wishes to formally acknowledge staff who contributed directly or indirectly to emergency response efforts.

The following survey aims to determine if acknowledging staff with a gift is viewed as an appropriate and worthwhile activity. You have been selected to participate in this sample survey. Please take a few minutes to complete and submit your views.
