Time and Trust in Your Community

Sociology 307 students are conducting a research projects, ours is entitled "Trustworthy Communities" as part of a class project at South Dakota State University. The purpose of the study is to analyze and see if the length of residence in your current town/city correlates with your levels of trust in your current town/city.

You as a student are invited to participate in the study by completing the attached survey. We realize that your time is valuable and have attempted to keep the requested information as brief and concise as possible. It will take you approximately 10 minutes of your time. Your participation in this project is voluntary. You may withdraw from the study at any time without consequence.

There are maybe some possible risks to you for participating in this study. For example, you might find you are emotionally unstable or your emotions may be stirred up from some of our questions. If you find that you are uncomfortable or getting upset to answer any of our questions please feel free to leave them blank. This study may show benefits of how comfortable and trusting you are within your surrounding community.

Your responses are strictly confidential. When the data and analysis are presented, you will not be linked to the data by your name, title or any other identifying item.
