THANK YOU FOR YOUR COOPERATION WITH THIS “SURVEY VIS-À-VIS COMPLAINTS”

My name is Eiko Tanaka. I am in the Masters program of the Rikkyo University Graduate School of Intercultural Communication in Tokyo, Japan. I am conducting a survey to collect data for use in my thesis. Below I have come up with various scenarios and would like to know what you would do if placed in these situations. In response to each scenario, I ask you to describe either what you would say or what you would not say and the reasons why. Please do not answer based on what you should say, but rather with what you would actually say in those situations.
For my reference, I ask that you please complete your first name and other information below. The results of this survey will not be used for any purpose besides this research, and in the event that your comments will be included in the thesis, a pseudonym will be used.
Once again, thank you for your time and cooperation.
