The mission of the Youth at Risk (YAR) Initiative is to increase the availability of services and resources for at-risk youth in Essex County. To accomplish this mission YAR is developing and improving the capacity of providers to serve youth by creating a network, sharing information, offering educational opportunities, and fostering inter-agency collaboration to promote continuity of care so that at-risk youth and their families can get what they need. The Essex County Community Foundation (ECCF) promotes and uses philanthropy as a resource to stimulate community awareness and to improve, sustain and enhance the quality of life in Essex County.
