Dear Sir or Madam,

The UNODC Independent Evaluation Unit is contacting you regarding the consultations for the biennial UNODC evaluaton plan 2016-2017.

Following the same procedures as for the previous work plan (2014-2015), we kindly invite you to share with us your key priorities, which should undergo a programmatic In-Depth Evaluation. Based on the human resources capacity in IEU, 8 In-Depth Evaluations can be selected per biennium. Please refer to the IEU website for all finalised programmatic In-Depth Evaluations in 2015: http://www.unodc.org/unodc/en/evaluation/indepth-e...

Please note that all other proposed projects and programmes which are not selected through this process will be subject to an Independent Project Evaluation with thorough quality assurance from IEU.

We wish to thank you for your continued interest in and support for evaluation in UNODC. Please do not hesitate to contact us for any further information you might need ([email protected]; cc: [email protected]). Please accept the assurances of our highest considerations.

IN-DEPTH EVALUATIONS

The UNODC Evaluation Policy states: "The biennial work plan is adopted by IEU following full consultation with Member States and UNODC management based on several criteria including, i.a., relevance, budget, accountability, risk priorities, innovation, replicability potential and evaluation history. The plan outlines the type, timing and budget of respective evaluations. It provides an overall framework and allows scheduling and prioritisation of evaluations, while allowing flexibility and responsiveness to evolving needs with provision for changes when required."
