Exit Survey

This community survey is intended to get comprehensive feedback from all Heartstone Homeowners Association (HHA) members in regard to preferences on key community issues for 2014. Each item will present several pre-set responses to choose from, as well as open space for clarifying comments. The HHA Executive Committee will present a summary of the survey results and comments at our next HHA Community Meeting on 9 March, 5:00 - 6:30 PM MST.

Please respond to this survey by Monday, 24 February, so we can tabulate all responses by the Executive Committee Meeting on 26 February.

Thanks,

Heidi, Doug, Lee and Jean
Heartstone Homeowners Association Executive Committee

1.) Regarding interpretations of the 18-foot height limit in the Heartstone covenants, please rank the following in order of preference from 1 to 5, with 1 being the most important:
ARC community dialogue that contributes to design of the 6 lots on Via Diamante
ARC community dialogue around each new house as it is built
Mediator hired to facilitate community resolution
Arbitrator hired to hear all HHA member positions and make the decision
Other (Please specify below)

2.) Please indicate your preferred way to continue the development of Policies and Procedures.

Ongoing HHA community dialogue at each bi-monthly HHA meeting

Volunteer task team who writes and proposes remaining Policies & Procedures

Volunteer task team, who writes or updates Policies & Procedures as need emerges

Other

3.) Heartstone Policies & Procedures address three levels of Community House use. This question addresses which level you want the HHA to encourage and focus on this year. Recurring concerns around this issue include sufficient parking and liability insurance, which need to be researched by an ad hoc task team.

Member use only – for community meetings, dinners and special events

Above plus member-supervised use for member-sponsored organizations – i.e., Tano Road Association meetings, noshes, special events (for which sponsoring member must be present); and Heartstone/Canterbury events and activities that follow our Yogalates participation model ($10/session), i.e., with HHA member as sponsor and non-HHA participants paying a fee that contributes to program maintenance.

Above plus paid use by outside orgs – i.e., facility rental, without HHA member sponsorship; with lower pricing for non-profits, need liability research. This option may call for an HHA re-assessment of facilities fees that would bring more reward than risk?

4.) Please rank the following other community priorities you would like the HHA to address this year from 1 to 6 with 1 being the most important.
Community shared vision for use of shared property, e.g., community gardens, bocci court, etc.
Community negotiation for shared maintenance & services, e.g., home repair, landscaping, cooking
Shared Exercise space and equipment
Upgrade media technology in Community House (password-protected wifi, TV and flat screen)
More signage and landscaping at Heartstone Community entrance
