Over the past several years, many HFMA Chapters and Regions have taken the initiative to design programming that is targeted at women in the business of healthcare. HFMA is currently putting together a national initiative called HERe, where women in the business of healthcare can inspire and be inspired, can learn and teach, and can connect both professionally and personally. We are creating a Tool Kit that includes an overall brand for this initiative, programming, resources and tools based on best practices from those Chapters who have held events of this nature. The goal is to provide the HFMA Chapters a wealth of resources to deploy events that are well-organized and consistent with the overall national initiative. Our hope is to make it easy for Chapters to create and deploy innovative programming. The Chapters that have held targeted events such as this have not only had enormous success within their own Chapter, they have reached audiences who haven’t been connected in the past.

As a Chapter leader, we are hoping you will share the experience and resources you have put in place for your programming targeted at the women in your Chapter and community.
