Sworn Positions:Current number of funded positions Row 1: “Funded Positions”: It is fully realized that positions are difficult to give up and an agency may want to show as high a number as possible; however, for the purposes of this Staffing Report, if a position is not funded in your Budget it doesn’t exist.

Sworn Positions:Current number of Filled positions “Filled Positions”: Of those funded positions identified in question 1, how many are filled?

Sworn Positions:Current number of funded vacancies : “Funded Vacancies”: The difference between questions 1 and 2. Note: When added together, question 2 and 3 must equal question 1.

Sworn Positions:Current number of frozen positions Frozen Positions”: Of the funded but vacant positions denoted in quesion 3, how many are you prohibited from filling even though they are budgeted/funded?

Sworn Positions:Reduction in personal allocations:“Reduction in Personnel Allocation”: How many previously funded positions have been eliminated along with the funding? Although this usually occurs when transitioning from one Budget year to the next, it can occur during the course of a year and thereby reduce the number in question 1 from one Quarter to the next. In other words, even if you wanted to you couldn’t fill the position because there is no money to do so.

Sworn Positions:Current number of trainees in academy “Trainees in Academy”: Of those counted in question 2, how many are in the Academy?

Sworn Positions:Current number of personnel in field training. : “In Field Training”: Of those counted in funding positions, how many are in Field Training?

Sworn Positions:Current number of personnel on military leave (reserce or national guard): “On Military Leave”: Of those counted in filled position, how many are on Military Leave?

Sworn Positions:Anticipated number of vacancies due to retirement: : “Anticipated Retirements”: Of those counted in filled positions, how many vacancies will occur in the next Quarter due to retirement?
