In 1980, the Oroville Police Department had 23 police officers for a population of 8,450. In 2014, there are currently 22 sworn police positions (some not staffed) for a population of 15,980. Considering the daily population increases significantly during daytime hours and on weekends, do you believe the Oroville Police Department has an adequate amount of officers to take care of our community's needs?
