This does not guarantee acceptance into the UTACON program or that you will receive the THR scholarship. It only communicates your interest.

Due to limited clinical sites, acceptance at a THR facility is not guaranteed.
 
 
 
Texas Health’s Nursing Excellence Fund is designed to provide scholarships for applicants who seek to advance their nursing education. The scholarships include tuition for applicants accepted to the Academic Partnership Bachelor of Science in Nursing (APBSN) program at the University of Texas at Arlington College of Nursing (UTACON). Books and other costs are the responsibility of the applicants.

To be eligible for the Texas Health’s Nursing Excellence Fund Scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:

1. Must not be a Texas Health employee or employed with another hospital system.

2. Must have met the University of Texas at Arlington College of Nursing admission requirements.

3. Complete the University of Texas at Arlington College of Nursing acceptance requirements.

4. Must have a previous baccalaureate degree or higher.

5. Must be available to complete clinical course work at Texas Health hospitals and health facilities or other clinical sites in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.

6. Must sign a Texas Health 2-year commitment to work Education Agreement to be fulfilled at a Texas Health hospital to begin at the completion of the APBSN program
