What is the preferred method for tying in objects in which you cannot place the prism directly on the reference point (i.e. trees, power poles etc)?
 
Place the prism anywhere on the edge/outside of the object.
 
Tie in multiple sides of the object.
 
Use the offset features in the controller software.
 
Take a shot near the object and measure the distance from the center of the object to your shot.
