* How were the iPads incorporated into your scheme of work and lessons?
 
This was a new topic to utilise the the features offered by the iPads
 
This was an amended topic, modified to use the iPads because I had identified an opportunity where they could enhance the learning
 
This was a trial, to see if the iPads could add to the learning experience
 
This was an unplanned experiment, they were free so I thought I'd give them a try.
 
 
 
* How were the iPads received by the students in the lesson?
 
Casually, with little interest
 
Some interest, but not as much as you had expected
 
Enthusiastically
 
With uncontrollable excitement
 
 
 
* And how well did the students work with the iPads?
 
Apprehensively, not sure what to do with them or how to do it
 
Foolishly, spending a lot of time playing around on it
 
Confidently, diving straight in and seeing what they could do on it
 
Sensibly, a mature approach seeing them as a valuable tool for their learning, using only apps or internet access for the purposes intended
 
 
 
* Thinking about the whole class, what was the impact of the iPad use on the learning?
 
Little difference, could have done as much/well without them
 
Some improvement, they certainly got more out the topic by using them
 
Big difference, understanding was much greater, they really help embed the learning
 
Huge difference, the iPads really helped reinforce the learning of the topic, why didn't I use them earlier!
 
 
 
* Thinking about the vulnerable groups in your class (PP, EAL, SEN, etc), do you think the use of the iPads for this topic enhanced their learning?
 
A little, but could probably have managed without them
 
Yes, they provided an alternative approach to the learning which was useful for some
 
Yes, they provided a form of learning that I haven't been able to utilise before
 
Absolutely, there hasn't been this much learning and understanding before
 
 
 
* Did the use of the iPads make the students more independent?
 
No, I had to constantly tell them what to do
 
Pretty much, with only occasional pointers in what to do
 
Yes, once I'd pointed them in the right direction
 
Completely, I didn't have to tell them what to do
 
 
 
* What were the students mainly using on the iPads?
 
Accessing the internet
 
Using the apps
 
 
 
* How confident did you feel at using the iPads in the lesson?
 
I was somewhat apprehensive and hoped everything would be OK
 
I knew enough to not have to worry. If things had gone wrong then one of the students would have known what to do
 
I was confident about using them, and could sort out any problems that came up
 
 
 
Did you have any problems using the iPads in the lesson?
   
 
 
 
* Will you continue use iPads in your lessons?
 
Probably not
 
Yes, on an infrequent basis

Absolutely, I could happily teach most of my subject using them
 
 
 
If you are a subject Leader and have not already modified your schemes of work to utilise the iPads, will you now do so?
 
No, my subject doesn't lend itself to using the iPads
 
No, I don't see them as being that important to the learning we do
 
Possibly, I can see potential but need to investigate further
 
Yes, they have demonstrated a gap and I can see how to usefully bring them in to the learning we do
