Vietnamese Community’s Perspective on Early Childh

You are being invited to participate in a research study to obtain a better idea of what the Vietnamese community values as a whole and in the education of their children. This study is being conducted by Deborah Le under advisor, Gus Lyn-Piluso, from the Education Department at Goddard College as part of her graduate study project.

There are no known risks if you decide to participate in this research study. There are no costs to you for participating in the study. The information you provide will offer relevant knowledge about the Vietnamese community as to assist educators in offering better education for children of Vietnamese descent in the school setting, as well as give other researchers a clearer perspective of the Vietnamese people. The questionnaire will take about approximately 15 minutes to complete. The information collected may not benefit you directly, but the information learned in this study should provide more general benefits.

This survey is anonymous. Do not write your name on the survey. [For web-based survey: No IP addresses will be collected, but absolute anonymity cannot be guaranteed over the Internet.] No one will be able to identify you or your answers, and no one will know whether or not you participated in the study. Individuals from Goddard College and the Institutional Review Board may inspect these records. Should the data be published, no individual information will be disclosed.

Your participation in this study is voluntary. By completing the survey, you are voluntarily agreeing to participate. You are free to decline to answer any particular question you do not wish to answer for any reason. You may also withdraw from the survey at any point
