Hello,

You have been identified as a possible customer point of contact regarding development-related utility project work with Seattle Public Utilities. You are invited to participate in this short survey.

SPU understands that it is part of the Seattle development community. We know that the level of success we’re looking to achieve demands focus on the voice of our customer, along with follow through on what is heard. This survey provides a launching point for the broader development community to be heard and to contribute to our ongoing improvement efforts.

This survey is being conducted on behalf of SPU by Demarche Consulting Group. If you have questions at any time about the survey or the procedures, you may contact Dr. Linda Paralez at (206) 999-9786 or by email at [email protected].

You may have received more than one email invitation. Please respond to the survey only once.

At the end of the survey you may opt to provide contact information if you wish to volunteer to participate in a next-level information-gathering and dialogue process. Thank you very much for your time and support.

Please start with the survey now by clicking on the Continue button below.

For the remaining questions you are invited to provide narrative response.

Have you installed facilities that would have been covered by a Latecomer’s Agreement in another jurisdiction but not in Seattle? (y/n) If so, please indicate the jurisdiction. Should SPU adopt a Latecomer’s agreement policy and if so, why?

Do you have any opinion about the recently proposed System Development Charge where the builder would pay a predetermined amount per housing unit, like an impact fee, to cover the cost of extending utility service for a particular unit? Under this scenario SPU would administer the fee and be responsible for the work of extending the utility services.

Do you have any other comments or suggestions regarding improvements to utility development services SPU or the City should consider implementing?
