Job Performance

Purpose of the Position
Heart+Mind Strategies’ (HMS) Solutions Assistants support all of the executional components of full-service market research engagements. By supporting other members of the client team and interacting directly with clients and operations partners, Solutions Assistants contribute to the high quality and efficient implement of each component of a research engagement while developing a strong foundation in market research fundamentals and HMS principles/approaches.

Scope
Solutions Assistants are vital members of each Client engagement team, providing support across all elements of qualitative and quantitative research engagements. Solutions Assistants focus on learning and efficiently executing the discrete/individual parts of a research project, ultimately developing the ability to independently manage research engagements with limited oversight. Solutions Assistants provide critical data visualization and PowerPoint expertise, create research deliverables (e.g., field instructions, sampling instructions, tab and banner plans, etc) and provide quality control (e.g., survey testing, survey monitoring, checking test banners, and data checking).

Responsibilities
1. Proofread and edit written documents (proposals, surveys, reports, presentations)
2. Perform data verification checks on charts in reports
3. Can read cross tabs and can efficiently and accurately update existing data presentations (data entry)
4. Develop and populate interview schedules
5. Test programmed surveys to ensure accurate programming
6. Establish directory set up and ownership of job folder
7. Demonstrate understanding of the sequencing and relationships among research elements and tasks
8. Obtain project costs and prepare project bids based upon critical job specifications
9. Complete relevant project accounting information (finalize BORIS forms, JPEs, SOWs)
10. Prepare field instructions
11. Understand different types of data and create accurate, appropriate and compelling PowerPoint charts/graphs which properly display data
12. Create, monitor and modify comprehensive schedules in collaboration with client, senior consultants and operations partners
13. Create appropriate agendas for project kick off calls
14. Run project kick off calls
15. Monitor daily status to bid specifications and prepare daily status updates
16. Complete data processing forms
17. Check data processing documents against specifications to assess accuracy
18. Review and edit open end coding
19. Understand research specifications and the impact on cost
20. Appropriately interface with clients, senior consultants and operations partners
21. Review toplines, test banners and tabulations to ensure accuracy
22. Analyze and summarize primary and secondary data
23. Prepare succinct written and verbal summaries of results
