Customized Survey URLs

Customizing survey URLs will help you to create an easy to remember and easy to share URL for your surveys. Custom URLs help with brand recognition and improved response rates since respondents can identify with your brand with additional ease.

Example:

https://mycompany.questionpro.com/product-feedback

How can I customize the URL for my survey?

Go to: Login » Surveys (Select Survey) » Edit

Click on the Edit(Pencil) icon for the survey URL.

Step 1: Create a workspace URL

On the popup, start by creating a workspace URL. Workspace URL will create a unique base URL for your organization.

This is a one time process. Once you have created the workspace URL, you will not be asked to do so again.

In this example, we will create a workspace URL: https://trymyui.questionpro.com

Workspace URL will be the base URL for all your surveys. For organizations, all users within the account will have the same workspace URL as the base URL for all surveys.

Workspace URL should be at least 4 characters long. It can contain lowercase characters a-z, numpers 0-9, hyphen/dash [-]. Spaces are not allowed in the workspace URL.

Step 2: Create a unique custom URL for your survey

We can now enter the custom name for the URL. In this example, this survey is for quarter 1 feedback so we will set up the custom URL as q1feedback. The URL for the survey will be: https://trymyui.questionpro.com/q1feedback

Can I edit the workspace URL for my account?

No. workspace URL once assigned is not editable. Workspace URL is used as base URL for all your surveys and editing the workspace URL will disable access to your surveys if the links are shared. For this reason, we don't allow you to remove or edit the workspace URL.

In case, there is a mistake with the base URL, please reach out to our support team on live chat and they can help you fix issues with the workspace URL.

If the workspace URL is edited/changed, all URL's before the change will stop working.

Can I use the customized URL in the email invitation when sending out a survey?

The customized URL is a non-tracking link for the survey. Responses will not be tracked and linked to the respondents by default. However, you can pass custom variables along with the customized survey URL to track respondents.

Earlier I used to be able to create a short survey URL. Can I still do so?

No. We have removed this option. If you have a short survey URL for your existing survey, you can continue using it. However, you will not be able to modify or add short URL's for new surveys. For existing surveys, you can reset the short URL and create new custom URLs for your surveys.

Is it possible to NOT have a cobranded URL with the Research License?

‎‎‏‏‎ ‎My survey link currently looks like https://companyname.questionpro.com/t/AQ7OhZkxJD after upgrading to the Research Edition license. This I believe, would create bias when my respondents see the survey link. I personally preferred the earlier survey link which looked like https://www.questionpro.com/t/AL8bgZchaq

Is there anyway we can move it back to the regular survey link on the Research Edition license for all my surveys without having to use the customised, co-branded survey link?‏‏‎

Will my invites be affected if I restore to default the Co-branded url?

I have sent invites to my surveys by email and if I change the co-brand to default, will my invites be affected? Will the URLs that were sent still be working?
