When you add questions to your survey, each question will have a question code associated with it. This question code can be used to reference the question when setting up logic or when accessing reports or analysing data.
Question code is an easy way of referencing questions specially when it is a long survey with lot of questions and helps with survey management.Question codes are automatically added along with the question. You can edit/change the question code by clicking on the question code displayed along with the question.
To edit the question code, simply click on the question code Q1 and you can edit/update the question code. Few important points to remember:Once the survey is created, you may have questions which you may have copied or questions that you may have reordered and reorganized in the survey. This will cause the question codes to be out of order or confusing. For easier survey management, you can view and update all question codes in bulk.
To do so, click on the Edit Codes in Bulk option icon. On the popup, you will see all questions in your surveys organised by blocks and you can update question codes here. Here, you can either update question codes manually or select multiple questions and auto update question codes by entering question code prefix and a number and click on Auto Update.No. Question codes are internal and not displayed on the survey. Survey respondents will not see any question codes.
Question codes can help you identify questions easily when setting up logic or branching or when analysing data. For example, organized question codes will make survey management easier. For example, when setting up branching, it's easier to identify question codes if they are organized.
Question codes are essential when setting up JS logic or scripting logic. This feature is available with the following licenses :
