Response Limits

A survey response is the feedback or answers provided by participants or respondents for your survey. A survey response can be quantitative or qualitative or a combination of both.

Yes. Every organization has a limit on the number of responses they can collect. The response limit is for an organization and will be collectively shared by all users under an organization.

Response limits depend on the license you have with us. Following are the response limits for some of our popular licenses:

• ESSENTIALS: Our Essentials license is free for use and has a 200 response limit per survey.
• ADVANCED: Advanced license has a response limit of 25,000 completed responses per year for the organization.
• TEAM EDITION: Team edition license has a response limit of 100,000 completed responses per year for the entire organization.
• RESEARCH EDITION: Research edition license has a custom response limit.

Only completed responses are considered towards your response limit. A complete response is a response for a respondent who has gone through the whole survey and clicked on the finish/submit button on the last page of the survey.

Incomplete responses or responses that are terminated via branching logic or over quota are not considered towards the response limit.

All collected complete responses are considered towards your response limits. If you delete a survey or responses in the survey, the deleted responses that were complete responses will also count towards your response limit.

Response limits apply and are considered for the duration of your subscription/payment term. For annual accounts, response limits will reset every year. For example, if you have an Advanced edition license, you can collect 25,000 responses every year. When you renew, you can collect 25,000 new responses for the new renewal term.

Response limits will not rollover. For example, if you collected 15,000 responses against a limit of 25,000 responses for your Advanced license, upon renewal, the response limit for the new year will be 25,000.

Data collection will not stop. we will continue to collect responses for all active surveys in your account.

We notify you when you have used up 75% of your response limit. A new notification is sent at 90% of your response limit. Next notification is sent at 100% response limit. At 120% response limit, access to analytics and your data will be restricted. You can contact your account manager to purchase more responses and continue with your account unhindered.
