Respondent Location Data
Respondent Location Data
When a respondent answers the survey, we capture respondents IP address and associated data including location data based on the IP address. This data is stored in Longitude and Latitude format and can be used to locate approximate location on a map.
How to disable location tracking?
You can disable location tracking for a particular survey, or for your account, or for the entire organization.
To disable location tracking for a particular survey:Go to: Login » My Surveys (Select Survey) » Edit » Settings
Here, disable the Capture Location Data setting and save.
To disable location tracking for your account:
Go to: Login » My Account » Global Settings
Here, disable the Capture Location Data setting.
I have responses collected with location data. Can I remove the location data?
No. By default, location data capture is enabled. So responses collected with this setting enabled will have location data saved along with the responses.
As soon as you disable location data capture, all new responses will be saved without the location data.License
